Melbourne MacDowell Biyografisi
Wikipedia'dan Little Washington, New Jersey'de (şimdi South River, New Jersey) Willet Melbourne MacDowell'de doğdu. MacDowell, 1917'de sessiz filmlerde rol almaya başladı ve bu sırada uzun süredir sahnede ustaydı. Rol arkadaşları arasında William S. Hart, Lon Chaney, Charles Ray, Enid Bennett ve daha birçok oyuncu vardı. 1940'lı yılların başlarına kadar yaşamış olsa da 1928 yılında sessiz sinemanın sona ermesiyle sinema kariyeri de sona erdi. 1932'de bir sesli kısa film için geri döndü: Andy Clyde ve Vernon Dent'le birlikte A Fool About Women. Melbourne MacDowell'in rol aldığı birçok film bugün hayatta ve DVD'de bulunabiliyor; özellikle de Lon Chaney ile yaptığı iki film, Nomads of the North ve Outside the Law.
