Cab Calloway Biyografisi

Cabell "Cab" Calloway III (25 Aralık 1907 - 18 Kasım 1994) Amerikalı bir caz şarkıcısı ve grup lideriydi. Calloway, enerjik scat şarkı söyleme ustasıydı ve 1930'ların başından 1940'ların sonlarına kadar Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nin en popüler Afro-Amerikan büyük gruplarından birine liderlik etti. Calloway'in grubunda trompetçiler Dizzy Gillespie ve Adolphus "Doc" Cheatham, saksafoncular Ben Webster ve Leon "Chu" Berry, New Orleans gitar ustası Danny Barker ve basçı Milt Hinton gibi sanatçılar yer aldı. Calloway, 1994 yılında 86 yaşında ölene kadar performans sergilemeye devam etti.
